Blank XHTML Template

You can’t get very far with CSS unless you have some standard HTML. My favorite flavor of hypertext markup is XHTML 1.0 Transitional. Here is a fresh template:

Let’s hope the Googlebot indexes this near the top so you don’t have to search around for a standard XHTML template.

    Hmmm I don’t know why you would suggest xhtml 1.0 transitional over 1.0 strict:

    I use 1.1 strict for a good amount of stuff I do. Plus, if you are targeting people that look at that snippet as a template, then you want to make sure they start off learning html standards that are current.

    Same as Zack said, Transitional means what it says, “transitional.”

    People should be using Strict by now.
